Understand How Your Business Appears in AI Search
What’s New
Local now gives businesses a clearer view of how they appear across AI search experiences. Teams can understand their overall AI visibility, compare their presence with competitors, check whether important business information is accurate, and see how visibility differs across locations.
The AI Presence Dashboard also highlights incomplete or outdated profile information that may be limiting a business's ability to appear accurately in AI-generated answers.
What’s Next
Milestone plans to add more actionable recommendations that help businesses improve their AI visibility, while creating a deeper connection with GEO Intelligence for customers who need more detailed analysis. The initial experience is being introduced through a limited beta before broader availability.
Why It Matters
Being present in traditional search is no longer enough. Customers increasingly rely on AI platforms to discover businesses and make decisions. Local now helps brands understand not only whether they appear in these experiences, but whether AI engines are presenting the right information when customers find them.
CMS Site Studio
More Control Before a Website Is Built
What’s New
Site Studio now gives teams more control over website structure earlier in the creation process. Pages can be selected, renamed, duplicated, or removed before the site is generated, making it easier to adapt a template to the needs of an individual business. Instead of building the site first and restructuring it later, teams can establish the right site architecture from the beginning.
What’s Next
Milestone will continue improving the branding portion of the Site Studio journey and validating the experience before expanding availability more broadly.
Why It Matters
Website builds often require significant rework when a standard template does not match the structure a customer needs. Giving teams greater control before generation reduces manual changes later, shortens the setup process, and helps teams reach a customer-ready site faster.
More Contextually Relevant Website Content
What’s New
Site Studio is introducing a more guided content-generation experience that uses business context before creating website content. Teams can define the brand voice and target audience, use an existing website as a reference, and provide guidance at the site, page, and individual page-component level. Relevant imagery can also be selected from the Digital Asset Manager based on the context of each page. This gives teams more control over the first draft instead of relying entirely on predefined inputs behind the scenes.
What’s Next
The experience is currently being validated through controlled testing before broader availability. Milestone plans to introduce stronger access controls, additional content-quality checks, and expand the workflow beyond Site Studio websites over time.
Why It Matters
Generating content quickly has limited value if teams must spend significant time correcting it afterward. Bringing business, page, and brand context into the generation process can improve the quality and relevance of the first draft, helping teams move from website setup to review and launch with less manual rewriting.
CMS Event Calendar
Better Support for Event Locations
What’s New
Teams can now manage event locations more flexibly. When an event location cannot be found automatically, users can enter the location manually and provide the relevant address and geographic information. Existing addresses can also be viewed and edited directly within the event workflow.
What’s Next
The capability will initially be tested through a limited rollout before wider availability. Milestone will use this period to validate location accuracy and explore additional safeguards and map-based experiences that could help users confirm that an event has been placed correctly.
Why It Matters
Not every venue or event location is reliably available through standard mapping services, particularly for remote or unique properties. Giving teams greater control helps ensure events can still be published with useful location information while reducing the friction caused by missing or incomplete addresses.
CMS
Balance Brand Consistency with Local Flexibility
What’s New
Organizations using parent-child websites can now allow selected child sites to maintain a local version of centrally managed content.
This means businesses can continue managing shared content centrally for consistency while giving individual properties or locations the ability to make approved local changes when their needs differ from the wider brand.
What’s Next
Milestone will continue refining the experience, including simplifying the terminology shown to users so that centrally managed and locally editable content is easier to understand.
Why It Matters
Multi-location brands need consistency, but complete centralization can make it difficult for individual locations to communicate information that is unique to them. Local editing creates a more practical balance between enterprise governance and local relevance without requiring teams to duplicate entire websites or abandon centrally managed content.
